Editorial board
Every editor is named, with their institution and ORCID iD. In a study of 93 suspected predatory journals, 73% had editorial boards whose affiliations could not be verified, against 2% of legitimate open access journals. Verifiability is the signal, so everything here is verifiable.

How the board works
A manuscript is assigned to an associate editor by the Editor-in-Chief or a deputy. An editor who is an author on a submission, or who is conflicted under the journal's conflict-of-interest policy, does not hold an editorial role on that submission: the platform withdraws the role rather than relying on the editor to recuse themselves, and the withdrawal is recorded on the manuscript's audit trail.
Board terms are recorded with an expiry date. An expired grant stops conferring the role on the day it expires, and the person disappears from this page.
The peer review policy sets out what an editor may and may not decide.
