Journal statistics
Published so that the turnaround times we quote can be checked rather than trusted. These numbers are computed from the editorial database, not typed in, and they include the submissions we rejected.
Not enough has happened yet to report a median. No submissions have completed the cycle. Publishing a "median days to decision" computed from two manuscripts would be a number, not evidence. This page will fill in as the record accumulates.
What we count
- Days to first decision
- From submission to the first decision letter sent to the author — including desk rejections, which are the fastest decisions and would flatter the median if excluded.
- Days acceptance to publication
- From the accept decision to the article appearing on this site.
- Acceptance rate
- Articles published as a proportion of submissions that reached a decision. Submissions still in review are excluded from both sides.
Reviews per article
A minimum of 2 completed independent reviews is required before any acceptance. This is enforced by the software as a condition on the accept action, not managed as a target — an editor cannot record an acceptance with fewer reports on file.
